Golden Key is constantly creating new opportunities for members to make a difference in their communities locally, regionally, and internationally through leadership and service events.
MacEwan University Chapter hosts a variety of exciting events throughout the school year for individuals to either attend or volunteer at!
Hosted throughout the semester as a fundraising opportunity.
Better World Books:
Better World Books is a company developed to encourage literacy all over the world. MacEwan University Chapter partners with them to collect almost any kind of gently used books. Our donations are given to a program called Books For Africa; an organization with the goal of “ending the book famine in Africa”.
To participate, please reach out to MacEwan University Golden Key and donate your gently used books. We'll collect books for all kinds for students, of all ages (except MacEwan specific course material, like a lab manual).
To volunteer helping with the initiative, please visit our Volunteer Page to sign up.
New Member Recognition Event:

CEO x 1 Day:
CEO X 1 Day matches third and fourth year university students with some of the country's leading CEOs from the private and public sectors. Through a rigorous 4-stage selection process, the program will uncover some of Canada's most promising future leaders and give them an opportunity to walk in the shoes of a senior executive for a day. It is also an excellent opportunity for CEOs to connect with, and better understand, what drives the next generation of leaders.
Phase 1 of the application process is currently CLOSED. For more information about the event, please check the CEO x 1 Day Website.
Please visit the Volunteer Page if you are interested in volunteering at any of the events listed above.
